At Cait’s we are always looking for people to join our team! Even if you’ve never worked in the estate or consignment business before, we will fully train you on research techniques and help you to become successful in all aspects of estate sales and consignments.
Mover
The main responsibilities for our movers include hauling away furniture (before and after our estate sales) to our warehouse, and/or making deliveries to a customer’s house. You will also help our warehouse team with moving around furniture our 10,000 sq ft consignment warehouse/store. There are also opportunities to assist our estate sale team by working “sale days” on Friday’s and Saturday’s from 9am-3pm. On workdays, you will check in at our warehouse in Mokena to see what is on the agenda for the day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs.
Estate Sales (Setup & Sale Days)
Our estate sale team works Monday’s-Wednesday’s 9am-3pm setting up client’s houses and then works our estate sales on Friday’s & Saturday’s (also 9am-3pm but sometimes the team arrives earlier if any last-minute items need to be priced). You would have the flexibility to work only setup days, only sale days, or a combination of both. Team members must be friendly, honest, outgoing, and compassionate.
Warehouse
Our warehouse is open to the public 7 days a week and is two stories with 10,000 sq ft. Aside from working with over 1,100 consigners, we also offer a wide variety of home goods, and we’ll also consign furniture from our estate sale clients from time-to-time. We also host estate sales in our “third bay” area regularly. Positions include cashier, consignment manager, and merchandiser.
