Why Consign with CAIT’S?
At CAIT’S, we have formed such amazing relationships with our hundreds of consignors that we are proud to call so many of them our friends! We strive to get you top dollar for your items while selling them as quickly as possible. We accomplish this by constantly rearranging items on our show floor to maximize exposure. If by chance your item does not sell in the allotted time, you can pick it up or we can donate it to one of the local charities that we work with throughout the year.
How do I Consign With CAIT’S?
If you are interested in consigning with CAIT’S, please call our warehouse at 708-995-7746 to schedule an appointment (appointments are available Monday-Thursday from 10:30am to 3:30pm).
How long can my items stay?
We consign items for a maximum of 60 days. If an item does not sell within the allotted time, it must be picked up within 3 days or it will be donated. Please note: it is the consignors responsibility to keep track of the deadline for items to be picked up.
What is our commission?
All consigned items, regardless of size, are a 60/40 split (CAIT’S receives a 60% commission).
How and when do I get paid?
Once an item is sold, we will cut a check on the 20th of the following month. Checks will be available for pickup at our warehouse (10201 191st St, Mokena). Checks that are not picked up within 30 days will be converted to store credit. Alternatively, if an item sells and you would like to shop before your check has been cut, we will simply deduct your order total from your upcoming check.
Do you offer pickup services?
Yes, we do! Our movers would be happy to come pick up your items if you are unable to deliver them to us. To receive a quote, please contact our team via email at
What should I expect on the day of my appointment?
While our team is reviewing your items, feel free to shop around or grab a fresh cup of Door County coffee! If we can consign any items for you, there will be a simple contract to sign (if we don’t already have a contract on file for you). Items that we cannot consign will be returned to you.
How do I know what has sold?
We will email you an invitation to create a consignment account. Once we have inventoried your items, you will be able to check the status of each item via your account.
What items do you consign?
CAIT’S will accept any furniture that has been pre-approved, home decor, women’s clothing, jewelry, antiques, art, trending seasonal decor and outdoor furniture (in-season)
Are there any items that you do not consign?
We cannot accept electronics, dolls, collectors plates, figurines, children’s items (including clothing) and men’s clothing.
